Frequently Asked Questions

Easi File Supplies

Q: What are Hangers?
A: Hangers are tear-proof, polyester strips you adhere to individual drawings for hanging in Easi File cabinets, Econo Files, Mini Files, Trolley Files and Wall Files. Simply peel off the adhesive strip and attach to your document. Hangers are designed for single, permanent use. They will go through copy machines and actually increase the durability of your drawings edge. Please view the video demonstration on our website in our Easi File line of products showing the application of a document onto a Hanger.

Q: What is a Hanger Applicator and how do I use it?
A: The Hanger Applicator is used to simplify the application of documents onto hangers. It is especially useful for larger documents and for major file conversions. The Hanger Applicator is an optional supply.

Q: What are Staple Strips?
A: Staple Strips are heavy duty plastic strips used to file sets of documents in Easi File cabinets, Econo Files, Mini Files, Trolley Files and Wall Files. Staple Strips are reusable. Simply remove staples, insert or remove sheets and restaple. Please view the video demonstration on our website in our Easi File line of products showing the application of a set of documents onto a Staple Strip.

Q: How do I attach my documents to Staple Strips?
A: Simply staple your documents onto the Staple Strip. Any heavy duty stapler can be used. Generally, 3/8 staple can be used for the Staple Strip and 1/2 staple for the Heavy Duty Staple Strip.

Q: How can I label my Hangers and Staple Strips?
A: Any file folder label can be used. We also offer our Index Kit for optimal indexing and organization of your documents.

Q: What is a Lower and Upper Carrier?
A: An Upper Carrier consists of a steel hoop and upper plastic spine that is attached to the Rack system. Sets of documents are attached to the Lower Carrier with staples. The Lower Carrier slides out of the Upper Carrier when removing a set of documents and slides back in when replacing a set. Lower Carriers include I.D. tags for indexing sets of documents. Carriers are reusable. Please view the video demonstration on our website in the Pack Rack section.
